Perfect Peace Says the artist—“All nature speaks to us, and one picture within a frame can touch us to our deepest emotion, even the soul, without a word being spoken.” In her art, she has “brought the actions of nature that speak to us into focus on canvas.” Concerning Perfect Peace, she explains—“My husband once gave a sermon about a king who commissioned four artists to each paint a picture which depicted perfect peace. Each artist complied, and presented his picture to the king. The picture which the king chose was of a sparrow sleeping in a storm. The Legend “For three years I held this thought in my mind. Then one night I saw the picture in my mind, and Perfect Peace took reality. “Following its completion I entered the picture in a local Art Fair where it was judged “Best In Show,” and the picture and words were published in the daily newspaper. Little did we know the journey this little “bird of the air” would take! Study to study as we moved from one church to another. “Today it has been brought out into the light, and once more exultantly sings its message of hope and praise to the souls that are hurting, to those who seek the Lord.”
